ABOUT

DCS started out as C.L.A.S.S back in 2004. It was set up by partners Ann and Pete Roxburgh-Reid. Between them they had a wealth of experience working with Deaf people and in a social services setting. In 2019 C.L.A.S.S became Deaf Communication Services limited.

Over the years we have been asked to provide British Sign Language (B.S.L.) communication support in a variety of settings including Adult Education, Training Agencies and increasingly we have been asked to provide communication support for employment related meetings and training.

Another element of the services DCS provides is Independent Living Support. We work with service users in their own homes and the local community. Our main focus is to support individuals to do as much for themselves as possible and retain their independence in all aspects of their lives.  Part of our role is healthcare and we support clients in arranging medical appointments and subsequent healthcare regimes prescribed by the doctors or specialists.
